tESTIMONIALS
My Son and I were very pleased with this Driving School. Unlike the School we hired to teach our Daughter, Beach City Driving School didn’t surprise us with hidden fees and the instructor was fantastic.

Thank you Beach City Driving Schools! My Daughter did great on her behind the wheel exam and passed. Considering she was absolutely anti-driving due to nerves, her instructor made her feel comfortable, she enjoyed her driving sessions and now Loves to drive.

programs
Choose your San Juan Capistrano driving program online, complete the student questionnaire, and pay to enroll.
Our scheduling team contacts you by email about lesson availability. All scheduling and rescheduling stays in that email thread; lessons are not booked by phone.
For minors, we book one lesson at a time. Enroll early, allow practice time between sessions, and plan ahead for your intended DMV test date. Availability determines the schedule; an approaching test date does not guarantee rush completion.
San Juan Capistrano Lessons
Learning to drive in San Juan Capistrano starts with instruction that matches your experience. Beach City Driving Schools works with teenagers, new adult drivers, international students, and licensed adults who want more practice. Tell us what you have already learned and which situations make you uncomfortable so your instructor can focus on your next step.
Our six-hour behind-the-wheel program includes four 90-minute lessons. Four separate appointments give students time to review feedback and practice recommended skills between sessions. Lessons are one-on-one, with no other student sharing your instruction time.
A beginner can start with steering, braking, turns, and observation at intersections. As those skills develop, practice can include lane changes, parking, busier roads, and freeway driving when appropriate. DMV test preparation builds on these everyday driving habits rather than relying on a memorized test route.
Free pickup and drop-off at your door are included within our San Juan Capistrano service area. Our California DMV-licensed, background-checked instructors teach in marked school vehicles equipped with a second brake for the instructor. Confirm your pickup arrangements with the scheduling team by email.
Parents can support progress by asking what to practice before the next appointment. For minors, we schedule one lesson at a time. Please enroll early and allow time for practice and appointment availability before planning a driving test.

San Juan Capistrano FAQs
All of our Behind-The-Wheel Programs will include the following.
Patiently practice and discuss defensive driving techniques,
reversing, road safety practices, highway driving, traffic rules and regulations,
road signage, and driver's license test preparation.
Who can take driving lessons in San Juan Capistrano?
We teach teens, adult beginners, international students, and licensed adults who want refresher practice. Share your driving experience when enrolling so your instructor can choose a suitable starting point. Have your valid learner’s permit or driver’s license, as applicable, ready for your lesson.
How is the six-hour program divided?
The program includes four 90-minute lessons. Each appointment is one-on-one with your instructor. Separate sessions provide time to review feedback and practice recommended skills before your next lesson.
Is pickup from my San Juan Capistrano home included?
Yes. Free pickup and drop-off at your door are included within our San Juan Capistrano service area. Provide your pickup details when enrolling and confirm the arrangements with our scheduling team by email.
What skills can I work on during lessons?
Lessons can cover vehicle control, turns, intersections, lane changes, parking, observation, and defensive driving habits. Freeway driving and more demanding traffic can be introduced when appropriate for your ability. Tell your instructor which situations you want help with.
Can a nervous adult or first-time driver enroll?
Yes. Let us know about your concerns and previous experience. Your instructor can begin with basic skills and build toward more complex driving as your control and awareness improve. Lessons are tailored to your needs rather than shared with another student.
How do I schedule or reschedule a lesson?
Choose a program online, complete the student questionnaire, and pay to enroll. Our scheduling team follows up by email about availability. All scheduling and rescheduling must remain in that email thread; appointments are not booked by phone.
Can my teen book all four lessons at once?
For minors, we book one lesson at a time. Please enroll early and allow time for practice between sessions. An approaching DMV test date or permit deadline does not guarantee rush scheduling or completion by a particular date.
Are there pickup, fuel, insurance, or certificate surcharges?
Our behind-the-wheel programs include free pickup and drop-off within the service area, with no fuel or insurance surcharges. A completion certificate is included for students under 18. Review the published policies for cancellation, rescheduling, and other applicable fees.
Can I use a school car for the DMV driving test?
School-vehicle use and instructor assistance on test day are offered through a separate DMV test-day package. Check the inclusions of your chosen program and ask our scheduling team about test-day availability and arrangements.
