All our instructors at Beach City Driving Schools are thoroughly background checked and fingerprinted through the Department of Justice as well as the DMV. We also make sure to take our time when selecting instructors.

Every one of our instructors has a background in teaching and/or coaching and enjoys working with students of all ages and backgrounds. We have a staff of patient and friendly instructors that are ready and excited to teach you how to drive!

At Beach City Driving Schools we only use vehicles with top safety ratings. Safety is our priority. All our vehicles are equipped with a passenger master brake that allows the instructor to stop the vehicle if necessary. We treat each student as though they are members of our own family and we do everything that we can to ensure their safety behind the wheel.

Laguna Hills Lessons
Beach City Driving Schools offers one-on-one driving lessons for teens and adults in Laguna Hills, California. Whether you are learning for the first time, returning to driving, or preparing for a DMV driving test, your instructor adjusts each lesson to your experience and goals.
Our six-hour behind-the-wheel program is taught as four 90-minute lessons. This gives students four separate opportunities to practice, receive feedback, and build on the skills from the previous session.
Free pickup and drop-off at your door are included in our Laguna Hills service area. You learn in a marked driving school vehicle with an instructor’s second brake. Our California DMV-licensed instructors are background checked and work with students of all ages.
Practice progresses from basic vehicle control, turns, intersections, and parking to more demanding traffic and freeway driving when the student is ready. Lesson locations and skills are chosen for your current ability; DMV test preparation focuses on safe habits and the skills you still need to improve.
Choose a program online, complete the student questionnaire, and pay to enroll. Our scheduling team follows up by email. All lesson scheduling and rescheduling must stay in the email thread so there is a clear written record.

All of our Behind-The-Wheel Programs will include the following.
Patiently practice and discuss defensive driving techniques,
reversing, road safety practices, highway driving, traffic rules and regulations,
road signage, and driver's license test preparation.
Do you pick up students in Laguna Hills?
Yes. Free pickup and drop-off at your door are included within our Laguna Hills service area. Your lesson is one-on-one with an instructor, so there is no other student sharing your lesson time.
How many lessons are in the six-hour program?
Our six-hour behind-the-wheel program includes four 90-minute lessons. Each session builds on the last, giving students four opportunities to practice, receive feedback, and work on the skills they need next.
Do you teach adults and first-time drivers?
Yes. We work with teens, new adult drivers, international students, and licensed adults who want more confidence. Your instructor adjusts the pace and lesson goals to your experience.
What should I bring to my lesson?
Bring your valid learner’s permit or driver’s license, as applicable. Wear comfortable shoes and bring any glasses or contacts you use for driving. Please be ready at the agreed pickup time.
How do I enroll and schedule lessons?
Choose a program online, complete the student questionnaire, and pay to enroll. Our scheduling team follows up by email. All scheduling and rescheduling must be handled by replying to that email thread; lessons are not scheduled by phone.
Can my teen finish lessons right before a test?
For minors, we book one lesson at a time. Please enroll early and allow time for practice between sessions. Availability varies, and an approaching test date does not guarantee an accelerated schedule.
Do lessons include DMV test preparation?
Instruction can include lane changes, intersections, parking, observation, and other safe driving skills. We focus on the areas you need to improve. Use of a school vehicle on test day is offered through a separate DMV test-day package.
Are there pickup, fuel, or insurance surcharges?
Free pickup and drop-off are included within our Laguna Hills service area, with no fuel or insurance surcharges. Review the selected program’s price and the school’s cancellation and rescheduling policies before enrolling.
What should I practice between lessons?
Your instructor will recommend skills to practice based on your progress. Building experience between professional lessons helps you return ready for the next step. Ask for guidance if you feel nervous or need more practice.
