All our instructors at Beach City Driving Schools are thoroughly background checked and fingerprinted through the Department of Justice as well as the DMV. We also make sure to take our time when selecting instructors.

Every one of our instructors has a background in teaching and/or coaching and enjoys working with students of all ages and backgrounds. We have a staff of patient and friendly instructors that are ready and excited to teach you how to drive!

At Beach City Driving Schools we only use vehicles with top safety ratings. Safety is our priority. All our vehicles are equipped with a passenger master brake that allows the instructor to stop the vehicle if necessary. We treat each student as though they are members of our own family and we do everything that we can to ensure their safety behind the wheel.

Choose your Corona del Mar driving program online, complete the student questionnaire, and pay to enroll.
Our scheduling team emails you about availability. Appointments are first come, first served. All scheduling and rescheduling must stay in that email thread; lessons are not booked by phone.
For minors, we schedule one lesson at a time. Enroll early and allow time for practice and appointment availability. An approaching DMV test date does not guarantee rush scheduling.
Corona del Mar
Private Corona del Mar lessons support teen beginners, new adult drivers, international students, and licensed drivers seeking refresher practice. Tell your instructor which driving situations you want to handle more confidently.
The six-hour program includes four private, 90-minute lessons with no other student sharing your instruction time. Separate appointments allow you to review feedback and practice recommended skills between lessons.
Build from steering, braking, turns, and observation to lane changes, parking, and busier intersections. Discuss goals such as judging traffic gaps or merging with your instructor. Freeway practice is introduced when appropriate for your ability and conditions.
Free pickup and drop-off at your door are included within our service area. California DMV-licensed, background-checked instructors use marked vehicles with an instructor brake. Confirm pickup and scheduling by email.

Corona del Mar FAQs
All of our Behind-The-Wheel Programs will include the following.
Patiently practice and discuss defensive driving techniques,
reversing, road safety practices, highway driving, traffic rules and regulations,
road signage, and driver's license test preparation.
Who can take driving lessons in Corona del Mar?
We teach teens, new adult drivers, international students, and licensed drivers seeking refresher practice. Nervous beginners are welcome. Share your experience and concerns when enrolling so the instructor can choose a suitable starting point.
How is the six-hour driving program structured?
It includes four 90-minute lessons. Each appointment is private and tailored to your progress, with time between sessions to review feedback and practice the skills your instructor recommends.
Will another student ride along during my lesson?
No. Lessons are one-on-one, and your instruction time is yours. Your instructor can focus on your control, observation, and individual goals rather than dividing the appointment between students.
Is pickup from my Corona del Mar home included?
Yes. Free pickup and drop-off at your door are included within our Corona del Mar service area. Provide your pickup information when enrolling and confirm the arrangements with the scheduling team by email.
Can lessons help with parking, merging, and busy traffic?
Tell your instructor which situations you find difficult. Training can cover vehicle control, intersections, lane changes, parking, and judging traffic gaps. More demanding roads and freeway driving are introduced when appropriate for your ability and conditions.
How do I enroll, schedule, or reschedule?
Choose a program online, complete the student questionnaire, and pay to enroll. The scheduling team follows up by email about availability. Keep all scheduling and rescheduling in that email thread; we do not book lessons by phone.
Can my teen book all four lessons or rush before a DMV test?
For minors, we schedule one lesson at a time. Enroll early and allow time for practice and normal appointment availability. An approaching test date or permit deadline does not guarantee rush scheduling or completion by a particular date.
Are pickup, fuel, insurance, and completion certificates extra?
Our behind-the-wheel programs include pickup and drop-off within the service area, with no fuel or insurance surcharges. A completion certificate is included for students under 18. Review our published policies for cancellation, rescheduling, and other applicable fees.
Can I take my DMV driving test in a school car?
School-vehicle use and instructor assistance on test day are offered through our separate DMV test-day package. Review your selected program’s inclusions and email the scheduling team about test-day availability and arrangements.
