All our instructors at Beach City Driving Schools are thoroughly background checked and fingerprinted through the Department of Justice as well as the DMV. We also make sure to take our time when selecting instructors.

Every one of our instructors has a background in teaching and/or coaching and enjoys working with students of all ages and backgrounds. We have a staff of patient and friendly instructors that are ready and excited to teach you how to drive!

At Beach City Driving Schools we only use vehicles with top safety ratings. Safety is our priority. All our vehicles are equipped with a passenger master brake that allows the instructor to stop the vehicle if necessary. We treat each student as though they are members of our own family and we do everything that we can to ensure their safety behind the wheel.

Our scheduling team follows up by email with lesson availability. Keep all scheduling and rescheduling in that email thread; we do not book lessons by phone.
For minors, we schedule one lesson at a time. Enroll early and allow practice time between appointments. An approaching DMV test date does not guarantee rush scheduling.
San Clemente Lessons
Start with the skills you need most. Our San Clemente driving lessons are one-on-one for teen beginners, new adult drivers, international students, and licensed drivers seeking refresher practice. Tell your instructor what you have already tried and which situations you want help handling.
The six-hour program includes four 90-minute lessons. Four appointments let students put feedback into practice between sessions and return with questions. Your instructor adjusts the next lesson to your progress, rather than sharing your instruction time with another student.
Early practice can focus on smooth steering and braking, turns, observation, and intersections. As you become ready, lessons can include lane changes, parking, busier roads, and freeway driving. If hills or merging make you uneasy, tell your instructor so those skills can be addressed when appropriate.
Free pickup and drop-off at your door are included within our San Clemente service area. Lessons use marked school vehicles with an instructor brake and California DMV-licensed, background-checked instructors. Confirm your pickup arrangements with our scheduling team by email.

San Clemente Driving Lesson FAQs
All of our Behind-The-Wheel Programs will include the following.
Patiently practice and discuss defensive driving techniques,
reversing, road safety practices, highway driving, traffic rules and regulations,
road signage, and driver's license test preparation.
How long is the San Clemente six-hour program?
It includes four 90-minute lessons, with one-on-one instruction at each appointment. The separate sessions give you time to review feedback and practice before the next lesson.
Can I start if I have never driven or feel nervous?
Yes. Tell us about your experience and concerns when enrolling. Your instructor can begin with vehicle controls, steering, braking, and observation, then add more demanding situations as your skills improve.
Can lessons include hills, lane changes, parking, or freeway driving?
Yes, when appropriate for your experience and conditions. Discuss the situations you find difficult with your instructor. Training focuses on safe everyday driving habits rather than memorizing a DMV test route.
Is pickup from my San Clemente home included?
Free pickup and drop-off at your door are included within our San Clemente service area. Provide your pickup information when enrolling and confirm the arrangements with the scheduling team by email.
How can parents help between driving lessons?
Ask which skills your teen should practice before the next appointment. Share progress or concerns with the instructor so the following lesson can build on what your teen has learned.
How do I enroll, schedule, or reschedule?
Choose a program online, complete the questionnaire, and pay to enroll. Our scheduling team emails you about availability. Keep all scheduling and rescheduling in that email thread; we do not book lessons by phone.
Can my teen schedule all four lessons at once?
For minors, we book one lesson at a time. Enroll early and allow time for practice and appointment availability. A permit deadline or approaching DMV test date does not guarantee rush scheduling.
Are pickup, fuel, insurance, or completion certificates extra?
Our behind-the-wheel programs include pickup and drop-off within the service area, with no fuel or insurance surcharges. A completion certificate is included for students under 18. Review our published policies for cancellation, rescheduling, and other applicable fees.
Can I use a school car for my DMV driving test?
Vehicle use and instructor assistance on test day are available through our separate DMV test-day package. Check your chosen program’s inclusions and email the scheduling team about test-day availability and arrangements.
